Mauritania – Official Practice

In Mauritania, the selection process usually includes:

1️⃣ Written Test (Before Interview)
• Conducted locally
• Organized by:
• Turkish Embassy / Consulate
• In Mauritania the test and the interview organized by Almaarif Turkeya
• Purpose:
• Initial screening
• Reduce number of candidates before interviews

🧠 Test Content (Typical)
• General knowledge
• Basic mathematics
• Logical reasoning
• Sometimes language comprehension (Arabic / French / English)


2️⃣ Interview Stage
• Only candidates who pass the written test are invited
• Interview format:
• In person (most common in Mauritania)
• Duration: 15–30 minutes

1. Full Tuition Fee Coverage no tuition costs at the university.

2. Monthly Stipend (amount may vary yearly):
• Undergraduate: ~4,500 TL per month
• Master’s: ~6,500 TL per month
• PhD: ~9,000 TL per month

3. One-year Turkish Language Course before the academic program (for students without C1 Turkish).

4. Accommodation Support dormitory or accommodation assistance.

5. Health Insurance throughout the study period.

6. Round-trip Flight Ticket — travel support to/from Turkey.

7. University & Program Placement — helps match you with a university/department.
